Community Partner Updates

Community Partner Updates for 22-23 school year:

1. Contracts: Community Partners (paid or unpaid) must have an active contract in place before they can begin to work in school buildings. 
   Afterschool partners- please work with Community Ed (enrichment programs) or Extended Learning (academic programs) to renew your contract. 
   School-day partners- if you are paid by a department/school, please contact that department/school to initiate the contract process.  If you have a $0 contract that needs to be renewed, please email cpo@mpls.k12.mn.us.
2. Lease holders:  If you lease/reserve space from MPS to host your own afterschool or weekend program, submit a facility request  here.
3. Participation in school events:  Schools have the authority to decide if they will allow outside organizations to participate in back-to-school events or family nights.  Please contact the school directly to coordinate.
4. Are you a new partner or seeking to expand work with MPS?  Prospective partners can visit this page to learn more about our partnership certification process and requirements.  If you are an existing partner and wish to expand services, please email us at cpo@mpls.k12.mn.us. 
5. Flyer distribution:  MPS will distribute both paper and electronic flyers for the 22-23 school year.  More information here.
