The Community Data Portal is a data portal that allows access to live, real time student data to designated community partners and community organizations of Minneapolis Public Schools. Agencies may access student information to work on various intervention programs with students such as attendance, mentoring, literacy or math interventions. These agencies must obtain written parent or legal guardian consent from a child's family before they may access this data.
Interested in Access to Student Level Data?
1.) Email Community Portal
2.) Set up a phone call with Elisa to discuss your progam needs for student level data.
3.) Once your need for access is confirmed, it will take 2-3 weeks to create an identifying code for your program in our database.
4.) You will be emailed once this process is complete.
How to Register to Access Data:
1.) Go to http://cpp.mpls.k12.mn.us
2.) Click on the 'Register Here' link, and enter in all your information, including a work email and phone number. Emails must be organization specific (ex. @mpls.k12.mn.us); Gmail, Yahoo, etc. are not accepted. This is to protect student privacy, and ensure that access to data can be directly connected to a specific organization.
3.) Please scan and email parent/guardian consent of release forms to email@example.com. You cannot receive access to information without sending in this form.
4.) Releases are entered individually, on the 1st and 15th of the month.
Maintaining access to student's data:
In order to maintain access to a student's data, agencies must provide monthly updates to the Community Portal. Please review the training if you have questions.
